Let's start at the beginning!
I flew in Thursday night (Hy joined us on Saturday), and Friday morning mom and I started bright and early!
We spent hours at the Salon, then this great pedi place, followed by...

Why yes it is covered in Pink Swizzle to promote healing!

Followed by lots of fun time spent with my favorite nephew (who entirely wore me down!)

Friday night we went to the football game; Tigers won by a lot!

I spent lots of time exploring and just appreciating my home town, and enjoying the feeling of being back in the desert.
My parent's neighborhood, where I grew up.

(My favorite place to drive on the back roads)

Friday bright and early, we went to the parade! The whole town of Hurricane came out and it was a hoot! There aren't enough pictures in the world to show just how much fun it is, mostly because of this guy...

He is just so full of personality

Of course the band was there,

and the football team (riding a firetruck?),

and of course sheep...

But it wouldn't really be a parade if there weren't any Storm Troopers.

Enough of the parade for now...
After the parade, we went to the middle of town and got to enjoy the Peach Days Festival!
There were lots of booths,

so of course we had to eat Navajo Tacos

(Mine covered in honey and butter)
And it wouldn't be Peach Days if I didn't post an akward eating photo of my mom!

-Now I am going to stop you here. I know you are thinking..."It's Peach Days, where are the Peaches??!" The cobbler was so dang good that pictures just didn't happen. And that's saying something.
Inside one of the elementary school buildings was the arts competition. My sister in law Jess won a few awards for her photography...HOLLA

In the other rooms were some really different displays.
For instance, it suddenly became Halloween...

followed by Christmas,

giant squash,

insane needle point,

and a baby in a glass jar.

Outside, there was everything from Tipis,

to rock climbing walls.

And finally my favorite view of all,

my oldest brother on top of a dunk tank full of brown water.
Hy and I spent lots of time relaxing together, and had Jess take our yearly pictures out in the desert. Will post a few of those when they come!

The rest of the time was spent atop this old girl...

except for the one time I was under it!
And we can't forget time spent with the most spoiled puppy in the entire state of Utah, Wrigley.

Ahh, but vacation is over and now it is back to the regularly scheduled programming...

Have a sincerely fantastic week...

We really did have a wonderful time. So sad you don't live closer so we could do this every day. Miss you all ready.
PS - How come you don't keep my blog updated as wonderfully as you do yours?
