I am a machine!

Well I usually post on Monday's (my day off), but this week I dont have it off. So back to work am I. Monday is full of whole sale orders, and for me... invoices. Yay. Haha they aren't bad at all. Pretty easy and pretty quick!

Here is a quick little look at work stuff.

A glazed birthday cake...

A new daily trivia question...

I suppose it is officially fall (according to the calender), which means there is going to be a whole lot of this...

and a WHOLE lot of this...

oh yeah, and lots of work!

Next weekend, I have 3 WHOLE DAYS OFF! Super sweet. Lots of good things are happening next weekend and I will have to update about it next week!

Solid Gold

Hy has been out of town all week, and I have been missing him miserably. He comes home Friday nights, but because we both work on Saturday's...well we only see each other once a week. Epic Sadness.

My sister in law Jess took some pictures of us while we were in Southern Utah for Peach Days, and they turned out really great! She has a website:

LifeBeautifullyCaptured.blogspot.com

You should look her up, she is really talented.

This photo is my absolute favorite so far!

I have been working and trying to stay busy while he is gone. At work I did this cake!

It is a 4' cake covered in white fondant, then airbrushed with gold luster dust, and decorate with a monogram and grapes! I really like how it turned out.

I HAVE to share this cake that Robin did yesterday! Its a Cranny. A sliver tin. A Space Toilet. A Granny Squatter. But mostly it is known as a Honey Bucket.

Doesn't it just scream romance! It brought us all a little too much joy!

Today Hy and I are just relaxing after a Portland shopping trip and Sushi Land lunch. Gotta love that conveyor belt sushi! Now we are watching football and doing loads of gross man laundry so we can send him out to the coast tomorrow morning, at some ridiculous hour.

I will miss him too much.

One of our anniversaries is coming up! October 13th 2006 is the day that we got engaged! What a day that was! Also on the 14th, we will be married for you 3.5 years! Go us!

...and yes, I did get a new tattoo while in Utah. And I love it!

Have a great week, you know, if it doesn't continue to rain the whole time.

Holy Peach Days Batman

I just came back from the MOST relaxing and awesome trip to Utah. It was well needed before the Winter holidays come out of the starting gate and knock me on my butt. We did so much and had so much fun. The only way to give you an idea is to just over load the blog with pictures!

Let's start at the beginning!

I flew in Thursday night (Hy joined us on Saturday), and Friday morning mom and I started bright and early!

We spent hours at the Salon, then this great pedi place, followed by...

Why yes it is covered in Pink Swizzle to promote healing!

Followed by lots of fun time spent with my favorite nephew (who entirely wore me down!)

Friday night we went to the football game; Tigers won by a lot!

I spent lots of time exploring and just appreciating my home town, and enjoying the feeling of being back in the desert.

My parent's neighborhood, where I grew up.

(My favorite place to drive on the back roads)

Friday bright and early, we went to the parade! The whole town of Hurricane came out and it was a hoot! There aren't enough pictures in the world to show just how much fun it is, mostly because of this guy...

He is just so full of personality

Of course the band was there,

and the football team (riding a firetruck?),

and of course sheep...

But it wouldn't really be a parade if there weren't any Storm Troopers.

Enough of the parade for now...

After the parade, we went to the middle of town and got to enjoy the Peach Days Festival!

There were lots of booths,

so of course we had to eat Navajo Tacos

(Mine covered in honey and butter)

And it wouldn't be Peach Days if I didn't post an akward eating photo of my mom!

-Now I am going to stop you here. I know you are thinking..."It's Peach Days, where are the Peaches??!" The cobbler was so dang good that pictures just didn't happen. And that's saying something.

Inside one of the elementary school buildings was the arts competition. My sister in law Jess won a few awards for her photography...HOLLA

In the other rooms were some really different displays.

For instance, it suddenly became Halloween...

followed by Christmas,

giant squash,

insane needle point,

and a baby in a glass jar.

Outside, there was everything from Tipis,

to rock climbing walls.

And finally my favorite view of all,

my oldest brother on top of a dunk tank full of brown water.

Hy and I spent lots of time relaxing together, and had Jess take our yearly pictures out in the desert. Will post a few of those when they come!

The rest of the time was spent atop this old girl...

except for the one time I was under it!

And we can't forget time spent with the most spoiled puppy in the entire state of Utah, Wrigley.

Ahh, but vacation is over and now it is back to the regularly scheduled programming...

Have a sincerely fantastic week...
