I hope the bear avoids your face...

Only 3 days of work this week and then it's off to Utah! This is basically the only time off I am getting until January, so I am definitely going to appreciate it! But when you love your job as much as I do, it's not that hard to come back!

Thanks for letting me steal some photos of work M!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday H and I spent the day at the outlet mall in Portland having a total hoot!

We did not spend tons of money on shoes, jeans, and decorative items for our house. Well okay, maybe we did.

We even bought new wall prints, yum.

When we stayed at our favorite Bed and Breakfast on the coast, they had a lovely mirror in the room, and it inspired us to search for one we love!

(One at the Inn)

And we found one!

Today I have the day off, as it is Monday, and Hy is back at work. He is loving his new job, and although the laundry is a little harder to wash, it does not bother me at all that he is now making 4X's as much as I do.

Can you believe how dirty that man is?! So sexy!

I love this picture, do you know why? I am not going to tell you!

Oh alright, its because I am getting a giant facial tattoo.

No, not really.

Have a great week!

Hoo-Song and Larry

A little update on our Utah trip... Hyrum is coming! He is flying into Vegas on Saturday morning and he is renting a car, just so he can enjoy Peach Days with his wife. What a dream boat right?

Yesterday Chris and his wife came, and we went to dinner on the river. Which is one of my favorite things to do when people come to visit!

This time we ate at Hoo-Song and Larry's!*(It's Mexican food, Hy's favorite!)

So lovely on the river! And it was perfect weather too!

After that we went to my other favorite thing to take people too: The International Rose Test Garden!

It is on the top of the hill above Portland, and it is such a beautiful view!

We must have come just at the right time, because everything was so beautiful in bloom.

Other than that, life at our house is business as usual! Hy leaves for the coast tomorrow, and will be working out there for the next month or so. And although he will be coming home every weekend,it will definitely be something new to get used to!

Lily pretends to be the picture of innocence, like usual...

and I am busy with work, and filling our house with flowers!

Johnson & Johnson

Friday night we went out to Catedral Tapatia and had some super tasty Mexican food. It is one of our regular haunts, and one of our favorites.

After dinner we took a nice stroll over to the movie theater and watched

EAT PRAY LOVE

and it was great!

It reminded me a lot of this girl...

but it reminded me that I like being this girl so much more!

On other news fronts, there is lots of tidying to be done. My cousing Chris and his wife Becky are coming to visit this Sunday. They are going to a rennaisance fair in northern Washington and we couldn't be happier that they are staying with us.

I am so excited to get to go home in a few short weeks! It is such a different feeling to go home! The people, the colors, all of it!!

Big difference right! I love peach days!!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Cue John Denver...

I bought my plane ticket to Utah, so look for me around Peach Days! I will be super busy the whole time I am in town, but I plan to have lots of fun! So get a hold of me if we need to spent time together! I will only be there for 5 days!

Unfortunately Hy won't be able to come with me because of work :(.

Been having lots of fun lately, and I am mostly over my wicked infection!! I never thought that I would feel better again! It was one of those chest infections that just go on for soo long, you start to become afraid you will always feel this terrible!

Ive been doing a few little anniversary cakes at work, which are 4' baby cakes...

this baby cake is glazed, mmmm...

These are sheet cakes for a wedding, that I was able to help with... the bride loves the taste of fondant (weird!)

My favorite lily finally bloomed; it only blooms once a year and only for about a week!

Dave, brother in law, sent us some pictures of when Hy was a little boy. These are really special because most of his baby photos were in a van that was stolen many years ago... in Mexico!

Can you believe the blond curly hair?! The little boy on the left? Thats Dave!

My favorite farm boy!

I hope everyone has a really great week!

Burfday

I keep getting emails from friends saying "Why aren't you blogging anymore Kenzi?!" Mostly it's because I have a full time job and handsome husband that keep me pretty busy, also partially because I dont feel like it!

Who wants to waste all their time blogging?!

Anyway, last week was my birthday and boy was I spoiled rotten! Between all of the girls at work, my sweet husband, my family, and the 8 million texts and calls from friends... I felt really loved!

My day started with Hy waking me up for work and suprising me with my birthday present: a full day at the spa! It included a facial, pedicure, full body massage, and an infrared sauna. (I went today and it was totally magical!)

I went to work and the ladies suprised me with Yumm Bowl for lunch! Which I totally love...

They even made me a cake...

Which is vegan banana cake (my absolute favorite!) filled with pastry cream and bananas and frosted in whipped cream. It was sooo good.

They were all so sweet to me!

My parents sent me a really sweet care package and a new DROID!

Hy took me to Rib City for dinner and we had a great night!

Other than that, we have just been working hard and I am getting excited to fly down and visit for Peach Days!
